The Cleveland Foundation Monday announced quarterly grants for local nonprofits, including $1.5 million for Cleveland State University's plan to create a medical education program aimed at urban healthcare issues.
CSU President Ronald Berkman said the money will help pay for the school's new partnership with the Northeast Ohio Medical University to train doctors and other medical professionals, particularly minority students.
