Olga Nagdaseva, an undergraduate business student at the Monte Ahuja College of Business, presented an academic paper titled, “Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability Reporting: Creating Value for Shareholders and Society” at the Annual Conference of the Midwest Decision Sciences Institute (MWDSI) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Olga’s paper included research about corporate social responsibility practices, sustainability reporting, and a comparative study examining the corresponding share value reflected in the 30 corporations comprising the Dow Jones Industrial Average index. She was the only undergraduate student participating in MWDSI, and competed against MBA and PhD students. This is a tremendous achievement for Olga and was the result of a successful independent study sponsored by Dr. Mark Dobeck. Read the full description here.
Dean Scherer of the Ahuja College of Business is pleased to announce that the Editorial Board has selected Dr. Barnes and Dr. Reed to be co-editors-in-chief of American Journal of Business effective April 1, 2012. Congratulations on this honor! The first issue for which our team will be editors will be Vol 27, No. 2. We wish them well in providing this important service to the field.
